CROPTRAC
CropTrac
The process of crop allocation can often take weeks of planning with pen and paper - with CropTrac this process can be achieved within hours. Managing seasonal ground and crop allocation can be a challenging exercise for any grower of fresh produce. Managing multiple rotation crops across a large acre base can be especially complicated given the need for soil conservation, sustainability and best practices for land management. Real-time and accurate management information is made simple with CropTrac.

CropTrac allows you to electronically receive harvest demands from multiple Shippers and use this information to begin creating your seasonal planting schedule. Once all your seasonal demands have been received, CropTrac then allows you to consolidate all similar demands and begin creating your budget for the season.
Prior to building your Planting Schedule, the system allows you to set up a complex set of risk rules and best practices based on your experience as a Grower. These can include Ground Preferences, Days in Ground by micro climate and variety and Rotation Rules. As you begin allocating demands and building your Planting Schedule, the system uses these rules to recommend availability of land to the parcel level.

Now that you have built your budget for the season, begin tracking actual plantings with CropTrac. The CropTrac electronic planting card allows any Grower to track what they have planted against budgeted estimates. The system allows you to capture all the details of the planting including seed variety and count, bed size, plant spacing and row direction.
Now that your budget has been created and you’ve begun planting, CropTrac also allows you to start tracking any materials (pesticide or fertilizer) that are applied to the crop through its growing cycle. As resources are applied, these can all be maintained and tracked electronically giving the Grower a complete snapshot of whole growing cycle.
Additionally, those customers that take advantage of TrueTrac’s HarvestTrac module can electronically receive harvest information as it is generated in real time.
Update your CropTrac system throughout the season as demands from shippers, planting schedules, or field growing conditions change. Original crop planning budgets are maintained in CropTrac for variance reporting throughout or at the end of the growing year. Better track information such as crop planting budget vs. actual, actual crop plantings vs. harvest and budgeted crop demand vs. actual. CropTrac will open up quantifiable insights and allow for better management of your operation each season.
